This is an aquarium plant from the genus Commelinaceae. It is often confused with Arthraxon hispidus, which is not in that family but belongs to the Poaceae. The somewhat stiff plant can be used in the mid- to background and will grow into a nice and dence clump if trimmed regularly. The light green stem and leaves harmonize well with darker plants and is accentuated by the pink leaf bases. Very easy to keep if both enough light and CO2 are provided.
