Beautiful groundcover aquarium plant which is also suitable for colder aquaria. Its natural habitat stretches as far as Scandinavia. Despite this, it makes an excellent groundcover plant for tropical aquaria. Temperatures up to 25°C are tolerated well. This aquarium foreground plant looks like a miniature version of Glossostigma elatinoides but grows much slower. This makes it an ideal carpeting plant for nano tanks as it is not as invasive as Glosso. Notwithstanding its suitability for small tanks, a spreading carpet of Elatine can be a stunning eye catcher in larger tanks as well!
