Extraplant Shop

Very handsome, slightly larger Blyxa. Not hard to keep if a nutrient- and iron-rich substrate is provided and bright lighting is present. This plant will grow in excess of 100 leaves. It will flower soon after  and die subsequently. This could happen over a period of several months or up to one year. We have found Blyxa aubertii in a stream in Johor, Malaysia. The biotope had been disturbed not long ago and Blyxa grew in close vicinity with Utricularia graminifolia. Check out our Blog for a more detailed description.
