Green form of the Giant Rotala and similar in requirements and growth. Actually, this variety seems to grow slightly slower than the red form. Leaves tend to stay a bit smaller than those of the red form but its general appearance is identical. The strictly opposite leaves make this a very achitectural plant. Very suitable for Dutch style aquaria! The second image shows a submerged plant under aquarium conditions. Image 3 shows a specimen with a reddish hue. This may develop under strong light and high temperatures. Image 4 shows a superb submerged specimen.
