One of the most beautiful plants you can get your hands on! Use as a background plant or as a midground group. The latter method is very often seen in Dutch Aquaria. It is a very effective means for creating depth. C. crispatula is a little slow to take root. Fertilize using substrate tabs or similar after about 6 to 8 weeks and you will see explosive growth. Leaves can grow to considerable length and will float on the water surface in aquaria under 1,20m of height (which, presumably, is the rule rather than the exception). Plant shade-tolerant species underneath. (Use other Crypts, Anubias species or Aponogeton madagascariensis). You just have to grow this plant at some point in your life!
